Christopher Salis: A Distinctive Leader in the Corporate World

Not just in big decisions and movements, but good leadership plays a critical role everywhere. The support of a mentor is undeniable, especially for surviving and excelling in the corporate world. Christopher Salis is one such selfless leader who has built the way for several people with his guidance.


Becoming a good leader, especially in a world full of competition, was never that easy. However, Christopher Salis worked with the utmost dedication and passion for leveraging his knack for leading others. He began his career with Adecco Employment Services after earning his education from Purdue University.


While working as an IT Procurement Manager and then Sr. IT Buyer at Adecco, he oversaw IT Procurement Program for 700 branch locations along with global corporate operations. After uplifting the performances of Adecco, he went on to serve Gap Inc., as the Manager of Strategic Sourcing. He has also served eBay as the Manager of Procurement/ Operational Excellence /Strategic Sourcing.


His diligence allowed him to build his way towards Business Objects. Here, he started as the Senior Manager for Procurement and Strategic Sourcing. He later reached the position of Executive Director and Chief of Staff at the Office of the CEO with utmost dedication.


Seeing his efforts and results that he brought to the company, Christopher was offered the position of Vice President after Business Objects merged with SAP. He started applying his skills at SAP, where he reached the position of Global Vice-President and Head of Portfolio Go to Market.


Throughout this corporate journey, he has worked with several times and has led many. He has worked with different kinds of people and followed a belief that employees are the supporting pillars of the company. That is why he leaves no opportunity in guiding and inspiring them.


Not only this, he uses his experience in showing the way for different new ventures. Being a start-up advisor, he uses the Lean Start-Up Method and David Allen’s Getting Things Done Method for guiding start-ups in their initiating phase.


One of the other qualities he possesses is being a good learner everywhere. Not only in his office, but Christopher Salis follows the same belief in his personal life too. He is married and has two young sons, whom he sees as a blessing. He cherishes his parenthood experience and uses it to guide others with challenges connected with parenthood.
