Christopher Salis and a Glance of his Experiences

A diligent start-up advisor, Christopher Salis makes use of different philosophies to guide start-ups. It includes the Lean Start-Up philosophy and Getting Things Done method by David Allen. Throughout his career exceeding two decades, he has also been a great mentor. He has led many teams and guided them in the right direction. He sees employees as the strengthening pillar for the growth of a company. However, how did he learn all these things? Let’s find it out by taking a glance at his experiences!


Christopher Salis began his journey after earning his education at Purdue University. Having become an expert in the tech industry now, he started as an IT Procurement Manager at Adecco Employment Services. For the next two years that he worked there, he handled an IT procurement program for over 700 branch locations, along with global corporate operations. He handled strategic partners and vendors too. He was greatly involved in uplifting the functioning of the company.


He then joined Gap Inc, where he served as the Manager of Strategic Sourcing for more than four years. He has also worked with eBay for almost a year, after which he joined Business Objects. Over there, he started as the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement. However, in some years, he reached the position of Executive Director.


It was not the only way that his diligence rewarded him. After the merging of Business Objects with SAP, he got the opportunity to serve SAP as the Vice-President at Palo Alto, CA. Now, at SAP, even though he joined as the Vice-President, he soon reached the position of Global Vice-President and Head of Portfolio Go To Market.


Talking of his achievements, he applied his diligence in reversing the falling revenue of the company. He played a critical role in the generation of 4X SaaS revenue growth. He was also involved in handling a global team comprising product managers. His strategy resulted in the growth of SaaS revenue to upto 75%.


Owing to his efforts, Christopher Salis has become a recognized name in the ever-changing tech industry. In the past twenty years, he has earned great success, due to which he has become an SAP specialist. In his personal life, he is married and is a father of two young sons. Being a good learner since always, he sees instances of his personal life as a great learning opportunity. He guides others too about challenges connected with parenthood.
